Overview

The WiiM Pro and Mini feature audio input ports such as Aux-In, Line-In, and SPDIF-In. These ports enable you to connect devices like CD players, TVs, or turntables to your WiiM audio system for playback. Notably, the optical input supports impressive audio quality of up to 192kHz/24bit.

Once you've established a connection between a device and the audio input port on your WiiM Mini or Pro, you can start enjoying the audio input through the WiiM Home App by following these steps:

  1. Open the Device tab and select the specific device or group you wish to play the input audio on.
  2. Navigate to the Browse tab, scroll to the bottom, and select the appropriate option: Aux-In, Line-In, or SPDIF-In.

Feel free to explore this feature to enhance your audio experience with ease and versatility.

The supported audio format of the optical (SPDIF) input

The optical input port on the WiiM Pro is designed exclusively for stereo PCM. Unfortunately, it cannot accommodate other TV audio formats like Dolby Digital, Dolby Atmos, or DTS. If your TV outputs these unsupported audio formats, the WiiM Pro will not produce sound.

To ensure compatibility, please select PCM as the output audio format from your TV or Blu-ray player. This adjustment will ensure proper functionality and audio output.

How to enable the Auto-sensing for the input audio?

Enable Auto-sensing to have WiiM Pro play input audio automatically as soon as it detects an incoming signal through the audio input port. This function activates no matter whether the device or group has or has no ongoing playback and goes into standby mode.

Here's how to Activate Auto-sensing for Audio Input:

  • Go to the Device tab.
  • Tap on the gear icon in the device settings.
  • Navigate to Audio Input and turn on Auto Sensing. Please note that this feature is disabled by default.

By enabling Auto-sensing, you'll experience a seamless transition to input audio as soon as it's detected, enhancing your listening experience with convenience.
